Good afternoon / evening one and all.
I hope that the doom and gloom of the last few weeks has now passed and you are now starting to look to the future and indeed to the rest of the year ahead.
Here at VBR HQ (Ok, its a spare room at home) We have been busy behind the scenes designing a new logo, courtesy of Mr Andy Wild of Viper Graphics Wales and also working on bringing some new ideas to the event.
Mr Stewart Clark, a stalwart of the events has agreed to come onboard the organising team to move the event forward.

It has been decided this year to extend the rally by a day to cut down on the amount of driving involved as this was a sticky point on last years rally for some teams.
Our estimated longest drive this year will be in the region of 6 hours (Benidorm to Malaga) and our shortest drive will be approx 90mins (Malaga to Gibraltar)
As per previous rallies, we will be holding a fancy dress night on one night of the rally and this year will be no exception. We will be holding it in Benidorm and the theme will be "Anything beginning with the letter B"
Our nominated charity this year will be the wonderful Blind Veterans UK and we look forward to supporting them in the run up to the rally and also from some of the fundraising on the rally too.
We would ask that your first £100 of any sponsorship raised by each team to go to the Blind Veterans UK charity and anything after this can be donated to any charity of your choice.
As the year now starts to march on ahead of us and we are now in the shortest month of February, it is now the perfect time to get a team together and book your place on the rally.
What does the rally entail?
Buy a vehicle for the purchase price of £999 or under at point of purchase.
Customise / Decorate the vehicle to a theme of your choice
Drive from the UK to Gibraltar in your vehicle of choice.
Enjoy the scenic journey
Put up with banter and joviality all the way.
Make new friends.
Once in Gibraltar, scrap the vehicle and fly home or simply turn around and drive back..........

We have been gifted a stunning, state of the art, one of a kind, amazing piece of French engineering...................................a 1999 Renault Megane Scenic 1.6 petrol as a raffle prize and not only this, but the winner will also receive FREE ENTRY TO THE RALLY too!
The car will be worked on prior to the raffle to ensure safety etc and will have a current MOT. Work will be carried out by one of our sponsors for the rally, CP Motors of Dyserth, North Wales and as such the car will have the rear window with their logo on it (Pixelated to that you can still see out of it from the inside)

This is normally the time of year when we start to get a lot of interest in the rally and we anticipate the next few weeks to be a very busy one for bookings for the rally.
Don't forget that, A MINIMUM OF JUST ONE PERSON NEEDS TO BE A VETERAN, the remainder of the team can be made up of family/friends of said veteran.
Get your thinking caps on, come up with a theme and come up with a team and enter the Veterans Banger Rally 2023.
